Monopol Restaurant

16.12.13

13.12.13 - this was the day of my graduation- five years of hard dentistry study are now officially over!
It was the day for handing out diploma in Aula Leopoldina, celebrating it with my family and friends, but also realising that a big chapter in my life came to an end and that I`ve become a grown-up who stands now on her own feet.

For such an occasion you definetely need a proper restaurant to celebrate your graduation.
Our choice fell on Monopol, which is located only 450 metres from the Main Market Square, and it became a tradition within our collegues from Wroclaw Medical University to prefere this place.
Its restaurant is full of dark marble, red marble columns and their futuristic white lamps giving the interior a young fresh touch.

We had a 3 course menu - starting from those tiny breads with creamy butter- so delicious!

As a starter
Cream of cauliflower (warm cream encircling a delicous icy ball)

or: Tuna/ Avocado/ Yuzu

Main: Lamb cutlet/ Red cabbage/ Truffle potato
-delicate meat and truffle potato just heavenly tasty!-

Dessert: Pineapple/ Coconut/ White chocolate
*a traditional Central-Eastern European egg based dessert

or:
21st century Kogel Mogel *with a dark chocolate trufle
which dances on your tongue like little fireworks ;)

Summing it all up I can say that it is definetely an awesome place for such an occasion like your graduation. As you see like in any real gourmet restaurants, you get tiny portions- quality rules here over quantity. Every dish has its special flavour, an exotic ingredient, which makes it worth to enjoy. For big hunger, you should rather go for the 6-course menu to fill your appetite. Maybe you will end up here for your very own graduation dinner, too.
