Awakening was the most important event of the opening weekend. Under the leadership of the Four Spirits - the Spirit of Religious Diversity, the Spirit of Innovation, the Spirit of Restoration, and the Spirit of the Flood – parades headed to the Market Square from four points across the city with the aim of metaphorically "awakening" different parts of the city. On each route acrobates, music, lightshows were performing while the crowd of Wroclawians, Tourists and other Polish People were watching them enthusiastically. The Awakening featured over 1,300 artists and 200 choir singers, 50 soldiers, 20 orchestra members, 300 cyclists, 30 light installations, over 1,400 costumes, 30 gigantic puppets, and 5 trams.

I hope you started great into the new year 2016 and are already really curious what will the New Year bring you. But first I want to look back: 2015 was marked by many trips, and it was very successful both at work and my hobby. During Easter we flew to London and especially the Street Markets like the Maltby Market and Covent Garden have left me a lasting impression. Michael and me spend our summer holidays in the "fat city" Bologna, literally a paradise for any Italian-cuisine - fanatic like us.
