EN In the literal sense the Goethe-Institut Pop Up Pavilion is a glass-made, 7x3x3m large ceremonial container, which will stand in Wroclaw at the Plac Nowy Targ from April to July 2016. In a figurative sense, it is a prism, a mirror and a lens, in which unusual ideas and artistic actions are combined, reflected and distributed. The project is part of the official program of the European Capital of Culture Wroclaw 2016. From April to July, there will be regular exhibitions, concerts, meetings, performances and artistic installations that are offered completely free.

Last Saturday I took part together with my friends at the concert of German rapper "Captain Peng & The Tentacles of Delphi". I gladly support such actions, and was really excited to feel again the German vibes and to listen to new music. The Music Express wrote enthusiastically about the group: "It is unbelievable: Intelligent German Rap is possible". The two brothers Robert and John Gwisdek make together with three other musicians an original and challenging mix of funk, indie rock and hip-hop.

EN Their characteristic sound owe Captain Peng & The Tentacles of Delphi among others their charismatic vocalists, some repurposed to percussion instruments household appliances (inter alia pots, lids and cutlery), a proper style bass with bass and the positive energy of all band members. During their concert on the roof of the Goethe-Institut Pop up, the music band convinced us from their extraordinary talent. The audience was dancing together, clapping, singing along - All in all it was a very successful show!

EN Afterwards we went to the classic concert: the Wroclaw Cantata as a part of the program Flow representing the european capital of culture 2016. While the orchestra played live on stage at the Oder, lights and colorful projectionswere dancing on the cathedral and the neighboring houses.

EN Nearly 140 thousand residents of Wrocław have felt the Flow. Over the whole Friday and Saturday, the squares and boulevards by the River Odra were full of the residents of Wrocław who were taking part in the events and festivals organised as part of the European Capital of Culture, including the Flow, that is, happenings, performances, dancing and music spectacles that were artistically illustrating the culture and remarkable history of the city and its residents. The Flow's finale was the evening multi show – the history of Wrocław in four acts delivered by 300 artists and 45 floating crafts. The vivid spectacle by the River Odra was watched by 50 thousand residents of Wrocław. It was yet another weekend in June saturated with amazing events comprising the rich programme of the European Capital of Culture Wrocław 2016.
